  • How can I become an adult volunteer in Cub Scouting?
Express your interest to the pack leaders—the Cubmaster, the Committee Chair, or one of the den leaders. They can help you understand the process and guide you on areas where the pack needs support. We always welcome parents’ help and are dependent on it.
  • How often do Cub Scouts meet?
All cub scouts meet in their den once a month and attend the monthly pack meeting. We also try to have a special activities – such as a hikes, campings, service projects, pinewood derby, etc. – in addition to the pack/den meetings.
  • How old (or young) can a boy/girl be to join Cub Scouting?
Cub Scouting is for boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grades, or 5 to 10 years of age. Boys and girls who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade, can no longer join Cub Scouting, but they may be eligible to join the Scouting or Venturing program.
  • May parents attend meetings?
Parental involvement is expected, and all meetings are open to your participation. Parents are highly encouraged to participate as Adult Leaders, Den Leaders, Pack Committee Members and even Cubmaster. At least one parent will be sitting together with the scout in a den meeting to help the scout work through the requirements.
  • Is the Pack447 for only Gomes Student?
NO, Pack447 is open to all scouts of any school.
